Facial Rejuvenation
Facing your future the natural way
Feeling good is not just about exercise, diet and feeling good on the inside. It`s also about how you look and feel on the outside. It`s that great feeling inside and out.
Our specialised Facial Rejuvenation treatments utilise either Cosmetic Acupuncture and/or GuaSha techniques to stimulate blood flow, natural collagen production, nourish facial muscles, restore tone and elasticity to the skin, decrease the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin and stimulate natural cellular repair giving a younger more youthful appearance.
As we mature, the underlying facial muscles slowly begin to decrease in strength, causing a loss of nourishment support and moisture. However, the face has a high number of acupuncture points which means specific areas of the face can be targeted for rejuvenation, increasing blood and energy flow through the skin in the desired area.
There are 57 muscles in your face that are all connected and all aging, leading to a gradual loss of tone in the face as they slowly lose the strength to hang on to your skin. For better or worse, it`s this loss of strength that leads to the sagging tired look we all associate with aging.
The use of Acupuncture, working with very fine needles onto points of the face but also the body stimulates the body to expel toxins, remove fluid, increase blood flow and stimulate new cell growth. Specific needling methods are used to reduce lines, wrinkles and lift and firm the face.
Gua sha massage techniques uses small therapeutic implements often made of jade to gently massage and stimulate certain energy points along the face and neck to promote Qi (energy) flow and remove toxins. Gua Shas beauty benefits include reducing the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin, dark eye circles, puffy eyes, age spots, discolorations and an overall dull complexion. This holistic beauty therapy can balance, restore and rejuvenate the skin condition without the use of chemical acids, microdermabrasion,
Botox injection or painful cosmetic surgery. Gua Sha massage is simple, effective and safe, as it has no side effects. Gua sha has been practiced for more than 25 centuries by Chinese people.
Although there can be a considerable visible change from only one treatment, a course of treatments is highly recommended. On average people aged 30-40 may need 6-10 sessions to complete a course. Those over 40 may need 10-15 sessions with most people showing significant improvement after the first couple treatments.
We recommend a treatment once or twice a week initially and after a course is completed there is the option of a top up every few months because this can prolong the overall appearance obtained from the initial course.
You will be given instruction on diet and simple face massage techniques which will be a part of your routine in between sessions.
